History of NAC Carbon Products
NAC Carbon Products, Inc. was founded
in 1944 as Speer Carbon. In the early 1960’s it became
Airco Speer and in 1986 the name was changed to NAC Carbon
Products, Inc. Through innovation and dedication to the graphite
market the company continued to grow. Today, NAC Carbon has
over 100,000 square feet of manufacturing space and is one
of the top American owned graphite producers in the U.S.
NAC Carbon People
More important than equipment is our
staff of dedicated, highly experienced people. Any company
can purchase equipment, but the experience and attitude of
the people involved are what make companies excel. We have
a dedicated team of people with extensive graphite and carbon experience
here to serve you.
The
management team at NAC is lead by two individuals with extensive
experience in the fields of graphite, carbon technology and
high temperature purification.
 Frank
Schoch - President
For
more than 25 years, Frank has been a leader in
the graphite industry. His expertise in the field
includes his founding of a small business that
grew to become the largest independently owned
graphite company in the U.S.
Since
1978, he has served as President and CEO of various
companies and has served on the Board of Directors
of a financial institution for eight years. In
addition, he was a national finalist in the "Entrepreneur
of the Year" competition sponsored by Inc. magazine,
Merrill Lynch and Ernest & Young. |

 Dr.
Robert Froberg - Vice President
Dr. Froberg brings more than 30 years of industrial
experience in the fields carbon technology, including
polycrystalline graphites, pyrolytic graphite
and carbon-carbon composites. He holds a B.S.
in Chemical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Material
Science, both from Pennsylvania State University.
During
his professional career, Dr. Froberg has authored
and co-authored a number of papers on various
aspects of carbon technology and he's been awarded
numerous patents in the field. With his knowledge
and expertise, he helps customers by providing
effective technical support and cost-saving solutions.
